What Do I Need to Know?
WHAT DO I WEAR
Come as you are! On any given Sunday, you will see men in suits and some in jeans; ladies dressed in Sunday finest to casual. We don’t care what you wear; we’re just glad you are joining us!
WHERE DO I GO?
Our sanctuary is in the tallest building with a steeple. When you come through the doors, you will be greeted by one of our friendly greeters. Feel free to ask them any questions, including directions.
DIRECTIONS
We are located in Madisonville on Hwy 21 right across the street from the Shell Station.
Living The Promises
The vows we take when we become a member of the United Methodist Church are grouped into three categories:
- Profession of faith in Jesus to become part of Christ’s universal church.
- Declaration of loyalty to the United Methodist Church in particular.
- A pledge to participate faithfully through prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.
Prayers: Prayer and Scripture Meditation
Spending time in prayer each day, and studying and reflecting on the Bible to experience the living Word of hope in the written word of Scripture.
Presence: Corporate Worship and Small-Group Community
Celebrating God’s presence in worship with a faith community, and experiencing Christian community in a small group to pray, learn, and grow together.
Gifts: Financial Generosity
Practicing Christian stewardship through the biblical discipline of tithing.
Service: Spiritual Gifts and Gifts-Based Service
Discovering our spiritual gifts and participating in God’s work through the ministry of the church.
Witness: Invitational Evangelism
Inviting others to experience God’s love and become disciples of Jesus Christ.
